<p>Which reminds me of one of my clients asked me the other day.. he said &#8216;do you always wake up positive, ready to eat muesli and go for a swim..?&#8217;</p>
<p>My answer was &#8216;no, some days I just want to have a snooze and stay in bed..&#8217;</p>
<p>But I was slightly bemused by his question until I realised, &#8216;if that is what I am writing about each week, the science of the R Factor will be kicking in.. ie: R = F x Q&#8230; The strength any perception and relationship is determined by the Frequency of Contact multiplied by the Quality of the contact.</p>
<p>It&#8217;s all about Conditioning..</p>
<p>Example: If every time I see Steve Martin in a movie I have a humorous experience, the next time I see him, I consciously and subconsciously expect another humourous experience.</p>
<p>Another example: If most days of the week, I feed our dog Ebony and take her for a walk, every time I walk downstairs at the end of the day, she is expecting me to feed her and take her for a walk. I have conditioned her (or she has conditioned me by wagging her tail and following me round the house the way she does).</p>
<p>We are all being conditioned and conditioning others all the time.</p>
<p>You are conditioning your staff&#8230;. your dog&#8230; your customers&#8230; yourself&#8230;</p>
<p>by what you radiate out in your thoughts, words and behaviours.</p>
<p><strong>R = F x Q</strong></p>
<p>How do you want to condition your customers?</p>
<p>How do you want to condition your prospects?</p>
<p>How do you want to condition your team?</p>
<p>If you&#8217;re not doing it conciously, you certainly will be subconciously.</p>
<p><strong>A Couple More Lessons from the Week</strong></p>
<p>Was meeting with a prospective client later in the week and he was showing me some of his great before and after photos..</p>
<p>Photos of what his clients premises look like before he does his thing, then the amazing transformation when he&#8217;s finished..</p>
<p>A brilliant example of how a picture really is worth a thousand (or ten thousand) words..</p>
<p>The only problem was, he wasn&#8217;t getting in front of enough qualified, hungry prospects to show the pictures to.</p>
<p>Like many people, his lead generation system was weak&#8230;</p>
<p>He was getting leads through a straw instead of a giant pipeline..</p>
<p>Plus, his sales guys were not regularly hitting target, yet he wants to double business next year.</p>
<p>I made a note on my POMVIC Needs Discovery tool..</p>
<p>I drew two circles. One within the other.</p>
<p>In the inner circle I wrote &#8216;there is what you are doing NOW&#8217; and on the outer circle &#8216;there is what you are not Doing Now..&#8217;</p>
<p><strong>To get different results you need to move beyond the inner circle to the outer circle.. </strong></p>
<p>Chances are, when you make that move you need some guidance and support.</p>
<p>Otherwise you retreat back into the inner circle..</p>
